The 9th annual American Dental Association Give Kids a Smile Day takes place Feb. 4, 2011. So far more than 1,700 GKAS events have been registered, with the ADA estimating that over 390,000 children will be served. Thousands of dental professionals provide free oral health care to low-income children every year for GKAS. To register your event or find one near you, click here.

Smiles Across America partner Kids Smiles recently opened a location in Washington D.C., in addition to its original clinics in Philadelphia. The organization also recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary of providing dental services and outreach programs to children ages 0-15. Congratulations!

Smiles Change Lives (SCL) is launching its fourth annual Candy Exchange event for dental professionals nationwide.  All practices are encouraged to join in this effort to give children a healthy alternative to all the sweets collected during Halloween.
