Oral Health America Recognizes DentaQuest for Million Dollar Support at 28th Annual Gala & Benefit

CHICAGO, February 26, 2018 – Oral Health America (OHA) proudly acknowledges DentaQuest as the 2018 Million Dollar Donor at their 28th Annual Gala & Benefit.

DentaQuest, through the work of its Foundation, helped launch Oral Health America’s hallmark older adult oral health program, the Wisdom Tooth Project® (WTP) in 2010.  The Wisdom Tooth Project strives to change the lives of senior consumers aging in their communities and especially vulnerable to oral disease.

“We are thrilled to welcome DentaQuest to the OHA Million Dollar Donor Family and to continue our work together helping older American enjoy healthier mouths and lives by working toward sound policies, targeted education and equitable access to care,” said Beth Truett, President & CEO of Oral Health America. “This acknowledgement recognizes the relationship between DentaQuest and OHA in improving the oral and overall health of older adults.”

Thanks to DentaQuest’s unwavering support, OHA created, the first online oral health portal that serves both older adults and their caregivers by teaching about oral health in aging and by connecting individuals with affordable dental services.

As a leading partner in DentaQuest’s Oral Health 2020 Network, OHA, together with other national, state and grass roots organizations, work together to advance oral health equity and be a leading voice in advocating for the addition of an oral health benefit to Medicare in 2020.

“We cannot revolutionize oral health care in America unless we address it from every angle and at every stage in life,” said Steve Pollock, DentaQuest President & CEO. “As a purpose-driven organization with a mission to improve the oral health of all, DentaQuest is proud to work with strong partners like Oral Health America to advance meaningful systems change. Because of organizations like Oral Health America – and the entire Oral Health 2020 Network – I am confident that we’ll realize our shared goals.”

Every year OHA’s Gala & Benefit serves as the premier networking event for the dental industry, providing a relaxed space for industry leaders to connect and mingle while supporting the important work OHA does to improve the oral health of the nation. DentaQuest received the Million Dollar Donor Award on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
