Planned Giving

Making a planned gift helps ensure that OHA’s programs which increase access to oral healthcare for all Americans will continue and expand. Bernard and Kathleen Beazley’s bequest continues to impact OHA in a major way. The late couple’s planned gift established OHA’s first formal internship program, continuing OHA’s commitment to elevating rising dental practitioners and professionals.

OHA provides the unique opportunity to combine my two passions in life: dentistry and public health. After discovering I would be able to help reduce dental health disparities by promoting awareness about good oral health, I knew this was the internship for me.

-Jennifer Pan, Bernard & Kathleen Beazley Summer Intern 2012

Planned gifts are not just for those of a certain income level or extensive financial expertise–anyone who wants to designate gifts while they are living can make a planned gift. A planned gift can take many forms, but the most popular are bequests (a gift made through a will), life insurance, retirement plans and financial service products. With life insurance, donors can select a charity to be the beneficiary of a portion or all of a policy.
