OHA Grant Improves Health of Older Adults in Buffalo

OHA’s Wisdom Tooth Project® presented a $15,000 grant to the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine to support a series of Oral Medicine Clinics which will improve the oral health of low-income and vulnerable adults in the Buffalo, NY area. Wisdom Tooth Project Focuses on Care Advisors

Oral Health America is the honored recipient of a $25,000 grant from the Dental Trade Alliance Foundation in support of the Wisdom Tooth Project for older adults. The funding enables OHA to work with Dr. Ruth Goldblatt, a geriatric dentist and clinical associate professor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, to identify resources and opportunities at the local level to assist those advising an older adult about oral health care. Learn more about the Foundation grant and how this project intersects with our plans for an oral health web portal for care advisors.

During the American Dental Association’s (ADA) 152nd Annual Session in Las Vegas, ADA President Dr. William Calnon, OHA Board Chair Dr. Keith Suchy and OHA President and CEO Beth Truett honored the four winners of the the National Children’s Dental Health Month Samuel D.
