Dear Friends,
I encourage you to review Oral Health America’s 2010 Annual Report. We believe it reflects our daily dedication to impact the lives of vulnerable children and adults and hope you will agree! In 2010, your generosity helped us to return 76 cents of every dollar invested to our programs. Generous gifts totaling $2.3 million are needed in 2012 for OHA to serve communities nationwide.
Please consider a gift that will enable us to do even better in
2012 than we did in 2011, when OHA :
- Helped to change the lives of 400,000 children in 34 states and 2 U.S. territories through $400,000 in cash grants and 500,000 units of donated dental product and began working on our pledge to America’s Promise to seal 2,000,000 more teeth for 500,000 children by 2020!
- Advocated for policies through our Campaign for Oral Health Equity, promoting good nutrition and tobacco control practices for all Americans, especially those most vulnerable.
- Inaugurated the Wisdom Tooth Project to address the challenges faced by our nation’s fastest growing population–older adults. OHA is taking the lead on both national and local levels to connect communities with resources, educate older adults and their care advisors, and advocate for policies that improve oral health.
- Celebrated the 10 year anniversary of NSTEP® as the official health sponsor of Little League International, working to prevent people from starting to use spit and smokeless tobacco and encouraging users to quit.
- Educated Americans about healthy food choices, avoiding tobacco, brushing and flossing twice daily, and visiting a dental professional at least twice a year through Fall for Smiles, which helped OHA generate over 1 billion media impressions.
To change lives by connecting communities with resources, we need partners and friends who share our passion and are willing to invest in OHA . Please be a leader in 2012 and contribute to our Healthy Mouths for Healthy Lives Annual Fund Campaign, which provides essential operating support for all OHA programs.
